The Role: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Leo Recruitment is hiring for an esteemed and award-winning Microsoft Gold Partner located in Dorset who uphold a strong sense of pride in their services. They have been established for around 30 years and are renowned for delivering customised infrastructure solutions and a personalised customer experience.

The company will value your passion for cutting-edge technologies and will be entirely dedicated to supporting your professional growth where you will continue to learn and excel in an innovative and creative environment, surrounded by like-minded people.

As their Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead intricate cloud migrations and digital transformation projects for both SMEs and Enterprise-level clients and will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery of complex projects spanning various technologies, project demands, and client expectations across a diverse range of sectors and project durations.
  • Efficiently planning and organising workloads and meticulously executing assignments, whilst ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrating expert proficiency across multiple technology domains while serving as a senior team member, technical escalation point, and providing mentoring to junior colleagues.

To Be Successful:

  • You’ll need to have strong hands-on experience in implementing and migrating intricate cloud infrastructure environments across Microsoft Azure technologies (or, alternatively, AWS and strong expert level Microsoft skills outside of Azure on premises technologies – Windows Server/Active Directory).
  • You’ll need to have a background in an MSP (preferably) or within a substantial multi-server environment.
  • You’ll need to demonstrate deep expertise in Microsoft Azure including Azure Virtual Desktop (or, alternatively VDI/Session based technology such as Citrix or VMware Horizon)
  • You should be highly proficient in Microsoft 365, encompassing security and compliance.
  • You should have a solid understanding of VMware or an equivalent virtualisation environment.
  • You will need to have a valid driving license, which is essential for travel.

Location: While some remote working is available, this project-based role requires you to travel to customer sites (Dorset/Hampshire), sometimes at short notice, with occasional overnight stays as and when required. You will also be required to attend the office from time to time. Therefore, you will need to be located in the local Dorset/Hampshire area.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with some flexibility available.
