Leo Recruitment is seeking a React Web Engineer on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (open to negotiation on length of contract) on behalf of a FinTech start-up organisation who found a gap in the market to deliver a bespoke, unique payment system designed specifically for the yachting industry – a niche market with few competitors, who are on course to becoming the market-leader in this sector!
The company has already been established for around three years, and they are carefully and methodically building a flawless system from the ground up based solely on direct feedback from potential clients in the industry to ensure it is efficient, effective, sought-after, market-leading, and the best that it can be!

Salary & Benefits:
- 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract with competitive salary between £48,000 – £58,000 depending on skills and experience

The Role: React Web Engineer
- As a React Web Engineer, you will develop and maintain efficient web applications using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
- You’ll be instrumental in enhancing development speed and workflow with Vite, focusing on rapid prototyping and efficient builds.
- You will ensure code quality and reliability by writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Vitest.
- You will build, test, and document reusable UI components with Storybook, ensuring scalability and consistency.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a user-friendly, cohesive product, while optimising performance for speed and scalability.
- You will contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies to maintain cutting-edge solutions.
To Be Successful:
- You will need to have at least 5 years of experience in web development with a strong background in building and maintaining complex applications.
- You should be proficient in React (including hooks and context API), TypeScript, and modern web technologies like Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.
- You’ll need hands-on experience with Vite for development efficiency and expertise in testing frameworks like Vitest or Jest.
- You will need strong experience with Storybook for developing and documenting UI components, and familiarity with state management libraries.
- You should be skilled in API integration, version control (Git), and responsive design principles.
- You will need to have strong problem-solving abilities, be a self-starter attitude, and have the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
Location: Fully remote from anywhere in the UK.
Working Hours: The company operates a fully flexible working approach, however you will need to show commitment to the role and be able to dedicate time outside of the normal 9-5 hours, particularly during the early phase of development prior to launch.
