Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist (Poole, Dorset)

Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist – Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
Up to £50,000 + Profit Share Bonus + Benefits
Location:
Poole, Dorset (On-site)

This is not just a standard reporting role – this is a Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with systems, data, and the business.

As a Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist, you’ll join during a major ERP transformation, initially backfilling an existing Business Systems role and quickly becoming the internal owner of reporting, dashboards and BI.

If you enjoy building reports, dashboards and BI solutions yourself (not just reviewing someone else’s work), this Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist role gives you real ownership, visibility, and progression.

If you enjoy building reports, improving dashboards, understanding where data comes from, and turning it into something the business trusts and uses, this role is for you!

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
  • Profit-share bonus paid monthly and at year-end
  • Free EV charging and on-site parking
  • Free lunch every Friday
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays + buy and sell scheme
  • Pension scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to work scheme, retail discounts, birthday vouchers
  • A stable business investing heavily in data, ERP and BI

What the Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist Will Do:

As the BI & Business Systems Reporting Specialist, your role has two clear phases. Initially, you will:

  • Support core business systems and reporting during the ERP programme
  • Maintain and improve existing reports and dashboards
  • Work closely with ERP, WMS and IT teams
  • Understand data flows across systems
  • Keep reporting accurate, reliable and usable

As the ERP goes live, the Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist role becomes increasingly BI-focused:

  • Owning reporting and dashboards (primarily Qlik)
  • Building and improving dashboards, not just consuming them
  • Working directly with ERP and other systems as data sources
  • Improving data quality, consistency and usability
  • Helping the business trust and rely on data for decisions

What You Need:

  • Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly with data
  • Experience with BI tools such as Qlik (or similar)
  • Understanding of ERP systems and integrated environments
  • A good grasp of how data moves between systems
  • Someone who is hands-on, not high-level or purely analytical
  • A self-starter who can own reporting without lots of direction

Why You Should Apply:

This is a chance to become the internal BI owner in a business that is investing in systems and data. You will have visibility, ownership, and the opportunity to shape how reporting and BI works for years to come.

If you’re a BI & Reporting Specialist who wants hands-on work, ownership, and a clear BI-focused future, this is well worth a conversation.
