The Role: Big Data Analyst

As their Big Data Analyst, you will work in an autonomous environment where you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, creating, and managing efficient data pipelines for handling large data volumes effectively, whilst deploying real-time processing for prompt analyses.
  • Applying advanced statistical techniques and predictive modeling to recognise patterns and anomalies in extensive datasets, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to enhance data frameworks, ensuring high-quality, accessible data.
  • Leading the development of scalable data warehousing solutions to accommodate rapid data volume growth.
  • Translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations while staying updated on emerging trends in big data and analytics for continuous improvement.

To Be Successful:

  • You will need to have experience working with large-scale, high-velocity data sets involving billions of records per day.
  • You must be proficient in programming languages and tools for data analysis, such as Python, R, and SQL
  • You must be proficient in big data technologies, such as Spark, Kafka and/or Hadoop.
  • A strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modelling, machine learning algorithms, and data development and optimisation is essential
  • You could have experience with cloud-based big data architectures and services (AWS, GCP, Azure), a background in data visualisation and tools (Tableau / Power BI) and/or have relevant contributions to open-source projects, research or publications – all of which are advantageous.

Location: Fully remote from anywhere in the UK.
